I hate hate hate when people end posts with ‘that is all’
is that all?
i agree with almost all of this. my only issues are:
- despite my ego, i know i couldn’t fill a magnum.
- it would take waaaaaay more flour than that – and some buttermilk – to make a decent batch of homemade biscuits.
what’s in my pocket
I’m not excited or anything :-D
this looks ideal. i’m jealous (the phrase “totes jel” just popped into my head, ugh)
May 2010 (by Stephen Borden)
I bought a Flip video camera and here’s the nice stuff I videoed last month.
neat. i like it. i should start carrying my flip with me more often.
I got a personal trainer
In the recent past I’ve started doing more exercise related activities (trapeze lessons, kayaking trips, walking in the evenings). They have all been really enjoyable and the only thing that makes them not as enjoyable as I’d like them to be is the fact that I lack enough strength to take it to the next level. So having a free corporate gym membership and all, I decided to get a trainer there. I went for my first meeting/workout yesterday. Before going I considered myself fairly fit. Unfortunately, that appears to be less true than I thought. I weigh 142, and I am 27% body fat, which at 5’6” makes me obese. No, I don’t think I look fat or have any issue with that. But it was a real wake up call. If I keep up my current way of being I am shaving years off of my life.
I did my first workout which consisted of tons and tons of lunges. Every kind of lunge possible I did (probably?). After I was finished I literally could not walk. Still having some walking issues today. Anyhow, I decided to write a blog about it. So check it out if you want.
I just checked, no fine print.
BOOM
and it wouldn’t usually say it on the back of the check. i had the same issue once. my bank said it’s like 6 months.

Hmm, she and I have the same hair type. Why doesn’t mine look like that????
I bet if you took her face out of consideration and just looked at your and her hair that they are pretty similar. But for some tips that I use for getting my hair more shiny:
1. Always leave the conditioner in for at least 1-2 minutes
2. Rinse with COLD water.
3. Always change up your shampoo and conditioner. I find that when I use Bumble & Bumble my hair is always really soft and shiny.
4. You can get this great stuff from John Frieda. Use it every day and leave in for 3-5 minutes and use it once/week or for special occasions and leave in 20 minutes and use double the amount. This stuff really really works wonders on my hair.
5. Always always always drink 64 oz of water per day. Your hair and skin will look so much healthier. I noticed a difference after just a couple of days. Drinking water is sometimes the hardest thing to do… no idea why.
6. Make sure to use a heat protectant even if only blowdrying.

pro tip
everyone hates when your page automatically starts playing music.
turn. that. shit. off.
so this whole Netflix for the Wii freaking rules. the quality is much better than i had anticipated considering both the video quality of the console itself and the fact that i have an old and not-so-fancy tv.
the real perk is that my wii is in my room! so now if i want to watch something i don’t have to rely solely on my laptop. granted, the ps3 with the flat screen in the living room are a much better option but neither of those belong to me or my roommate…so i’m trying not to get too attached to either of them. *sigh*
but, long story short, wii + netflix = two enthusiastic thumbs up!
yeah! when i got the email about the wii dvd i hit it up immediately. the thing i hate is how you can’t search for a movie and the scroll through system is a little limiting… but then again, i should probably be spending more time doing other things.
